Help prevent extreme partisan nonsense. The two national parties seem so influenced by radical elements that they no longer work. Voting the party line has caused both sides of the aisle to lose sight of what’s best for the country:

• The national debt is $21.7 trillion and growing at $1 trillion a year
• Servicing the interest on this debt will demand higher taxes and
• Social Security and Medicare are now in financial trouble
• The cost of education and healthcare are crippling the economy
• There’s massive waste and inefficiency at almost every level of government

Independents can select the best ideas from each side and force the parties to work together. A few honest, non-party affiliated independents can become the voice of moderation. Together, they could form important swing votes critical in passing legislation. Don’t pick a side—pick an independent:
