EXTREME factions have taken control of both national political parties. Common sense and responsible government have been left in the dust. Meanwhile, the national debt is nearly $22 trillion and growing. Healthcare costs are unaffordable for many. Immigration reform has been kicked down the road. Government waste is shameful. The solution is to elect independent, non-party affiliated candidates and deny either party a majority. Without a majority, the independents will control the votes needed for spending approvals.
